Hi, I’m Maricruz, a lifestyle photographer based in Houston, Texas. My story starts back in California, where I first picked up a camera as a videographer and editor, earning degrees in digital film and video production before eventually finding my way into photography.
Over the years, I’ve created content for corporate, non-profit, & education companies, boosting their publications, national brand recognition, and social media campaigns.
In 2024, I officially launched my freelance photography business, and now I spend my days doing what lights me up most — documenting real, candid, and meaningful moments.
What I love is capturing people's stories. At the heart of my work, I believe photography should feel easy, fun, and authentic to you. I bring compassion, integrity, and creativity to every project, whether it's portraits, behind-the-scenes, events, or helping entrepreneurs tell their brand story. Yes, I do! While I’m based in Houston, I also travel for photoshoots — including internationally (Canada & Mexico for now). If you’re in the U.S., just send me a message and we can chat through the details to plan your personalized session.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Yes! Travel is included in all of my packages, as long as your session is within the greater Houston area. If you’d like me to come a little further out, we can chat about any additional travel costs to make it happen.
